Nsefu Wildlife Rangers heat out to the field!
Preparation is the key to a successful patrol.
Recently, Nsefu Wildlife Rangers geared up and headed out on patrol. WATCH OUT POACHERS!
Poaching Suspect caught with illegal Fish & Fishing Gear!
Poachers are always on the move, we must always be on alert!
Nsefu Wildlife VP Andre and the DNPW Rangers were recently traveling through the Luangwa region near the park, when they happened upon two suspected poachers, who were found with fishing nets, baskets, and fish in an area where it is illegal to fish.
As our team began to talk to the suspects, the suspects began to quickly walk away, so our team got into our truck and caught up to suspects, after which they took off running. Our team then engaged in a foot chase with the suspects into the bush and caught up with one of the suspects and detained him.
They took the suspect back for interrogation and then later that day took him to DNPW HQ for further interrogation and to be jailed. The suspect is currently in jail awaiting trial.
Note: Nsefu Wildlife rangers were not involved in this operation.

Hi friends!
I wanted to ask if you could help me and my Nsefu Wildlife teammate Andre Gascoigne do some much-needed shopping for our Nsefu Wildlife Ranger Team?
We got the call from Team Nsefu Zambia that our ranger team DESPERATELY needs new supplies and funding for fuel and food due to skyrocketing inflation in Zambia. Every season all of our gear takes a SERIOUS beating due to the unforgiving terrain in the Nsefu Sector. Clothing and boots get basically destroyed each season with our monthly patrols. Our tents take a beating, flashlights break, etc. and it is just something we have to deal with running a full-time 10-person ranger team. Furthermore, fuel and food prices have skyrocketed and we need to increase our budget to keep the team running full-time. We need to buy stuff over here in the US and when we hit the ground over there.
Andre and I will be there this summer overseeing all of our programs and I promise you it is INSANELY hard work. I wish I could say we had a steady stream of funding...but we don't. Each month we go to work raising money to keep Nsefu Wildlife kicking butt in the field. Dropping poaching over 70% is not an accident...it is because we work incredibly hard every single day and we think outside the box. Extinction is happening as we speak and we don't get time off.
I would be SO grateful if you were able to help our work this summer and keep our amazing Nsefu Wildlife Rangers on the ground saving animals and wowing everyone in conservation. Of course you would get a tax deduction as Nsefu Wildlife Conservation Foundation is a 501c nonprofit Tax ID 47-3422796. I would be truly grateful. And I will be honest...I am kind of exhausted right now after doing this for over 6 years!!!
I love and appreciate you and THANK YOU on behalf of Team Nsefu.
