David Attenborough's Final Warning To Humanity
“A man’s passion for the natural world, sparked by a childhood love of fossils and wildlife, blossomed into a life-long career. Over more than 60 years, he traveled the globe, bringing the wonders of the planet into our homes and becoming a beloved voice for millions. Now, in the twilight of his career, he issues a stark warning: the Earth is on the brink of a man-made catastrophe, and it's up to us to save it before it's too late”.
Bio-Fencing Extension Completed
As of August 8th, the bio-fence (beekeeping) extension project, adding to a current bio-fence, has been completed. There were 20 beehives purchased to extend the bio-fence, covering a stretch of 200 meters, ensuring that the number of fields covered has increased.
The initial target for the bio-fencing extension was 400 meters, but working within the current budget, we ended up with 200 meters.
The Nsefu Wildlife team would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the donors who made it possible for this big milestone.
The video below shows the area covered!

Borehole: Donor visits to see completed work!
Recently, one of our wonderful donors, Gunnar Sjoergren, donated to our borehole program, which allowed us to have three boreholes drilled, which help provide much needed water in this drought prone region.
Gunnar visited one of the borehole sites, named The Moose Hole to see the completed work and show his continued support for Nsefu Wildlife!
Thank you Gunnar for your donation!
Elephant Raids Farm - Rapid Response Team Investigates!
Elephant raids farm - Community Rapid Response Team investigates!
On Monday (7/21), the Community Rapid Response Team (CRRT) received a report that crops were damaged by elephants, and the CRRT rushed there in the morning to assess the situation.
From the assessment, there was obvious damage to the crops and the CRRT are considering what support we can give the local farmers to help compensate for their lost crops.
Hopefully, with lessons learned from events like these, our team can learn how to work the community and determine how to best prevent this from happening again in the future.
NWCF Community Rapid Response Team meeting
The Nsefu Wildlife Community Rapid Response Team is a special group designated to respond to reported human/wildlife conflict events in the area.
The photos below are from the Rapid Response Awareness meeting held on July 19th at the Shalireni Village Action Group (VAG).
The meeting was held to make the community aware of this program, so that when there's a problem, the local people can call on them to help.
The program, even though it's just been created, has already created a sense of hope and security when it comes to human/wildlife conflict!
