A Message from Nsefu Wildlife's Co-Founder Coe Lewis!
Dear Friends...
It's been a very busy 2022 for Team Nsefu USA and Team Nsefu ZAMBIA. I am in Zambia for two months to join my COO Andre Gascoigne and Cofounder Victory Wallace to work on everything Nsefu. Nsefu Wildlife continues to outperform in the field and we are working hard to navigate through another fiscally challenging year due to the global economic downturn...this on the heels of 2+ years of COVID. It has been brutal to be honest. Conservation is fulltime and it needs consistent funding because unfortunately poachers don't take a day off and they are funded by criminal syndicates with deep pockets. Corruption and greed are rampant and they are foes we fight every single day. Your support is critical in helping us keep our promise to fight extinction and save Africa's wildlife.
GO COE SAFARI
I am excited because my first week in Zambia is with my inaugural "Go Coe Safari" travelers who will be joining me for an unforgettable week at beautiful Zikomo Safari! I will be making this an annual event for all our friends/supporters who have expressed wanting to go over with me for a stunning safari experience and to see firsthand what our foundation is doing on the ground. In fact, this trip will include our travelers being at the opening of the Bonnie Dines Women's Center that our wonderful supporter Gary Dines made happen in honor of his late wife. The building is near completion and we wanted to have our supporters at the ceremony for it's opening. It will house our Women's Sewing Program, our Marketplace, and more. We are so excited and this is just the thing we would love for you to see firsthand. By introducing economic opportunities and training in the sector, we are dramatically dropping poaching and wildlife trafficking numbers in the region. Our women's sewing program, our biofencing/beekeeping program, our ranger program, and our two schools all work together to STOP poaching. If you would like to make a gift in honor of someone, leave a legacy towards another one of our planned buildings, or fund one of our projects...please reach out to me. 100% of your donations go right into action on the ground! And if you would like to go to Africa with me on a Go Coe Safari, please email me at coe@nsefu.org and put SAFARI in the Subject line to be put on my 2023 "interest list". Space is limited and I hope to have the itinerary and pricing out by October/November for the 2023 travel season.
ROCK THE WILD
Thank you to everyone who attended the 1st Annual "Rock the Wild" event at the Jolly Joker Tavern at the end of March. What a turnout and we are so grateful for every attendee who helped us raise money for our foundation!!!! Thank you to our four amazing bands-The Farmers, Sledd, Black Star Sinners, and the Roni Lee Band, who donated their time and talent to fight extinction. And a big "thank you" to the Jolly Joker for hosting the fantastic event! We can't wait to put together the 2nd Annual "Rock the Wild" so stay tuned for details later this year! And speaking of events...some great events are coming up with Nsefu. We will be part of the 1st Annual SoCal Heavy Jam on Sat. 10/22 at Full Circle Saloon and we are currently working on the 1st Annual Nsefu Monkey Motorcycle Run on Saturday 1/14/23 starting at Motorcycle Monkey Coffee Shop and ending at Full Circle Saloon. We are teaming up with our friends Clint August/Radio Personality- 101KGB-fm and Michelle Bailey/Owner of Full Circle Saloon for a great time and the "after party" will have great music, food, opportunity drawings, silent auction items and giveaways! Both events are 21+.
Again, NONE of this would happen without our beloved and appreciated supporters. Eventhough we were founded in 2015, we are still considered a "young" foundation and we need to grow to have a greater impact. Wildlife crime and poaching are astronomical in size on the African continent...but every single day we fight to save the wildlife...and in turn, the people of the Nsefu Sector. It's absolutely working and that is because YOU. Our gratitude is immeasurable.
COE SELLS REAL ESTATE FOR WILDLIFE!!
I wanted to let you know I have returned to a business that I love... and that is real estate. I returned because I want to help keep Nsefu Wildlife financially stable to continue our work fighting extinction. These challenging years of fundraising led me to this decision and I am REALLY excited. I have been a licensed real estate agent since 2001 and I truly believe in the power of real estate to transform lives. I started at Century 21 Award in 2001, was a top producer and Customer Service Award Winner. I also have been a real estate investor for 30+ years and I have seen how it's changed my life and I have seen it change countless other lives. And I am very happy to announce I have headed back to Century 21 Award and have teamed up with my wonderful friends and top-producing team, Curt Johnson and Roni Coffer of Curt and Roni Realty (CurtandRoniRealty.com) I have worked with and known Curt since 2001 and there is no one I admire more in real estate. Joining their successful team will give me the support I need to be able to work a couple of months in Zambia each summer and knowing my transactions in progress will be in the very best of hands while I am on the ground in Africa. We make a great team and we love what we do. So if you are looking to buy, sell, or invest...I hope you will think of me for all of your real estate needs.
Nsefu Wildlife will receive a large donation with every transaction I close. Feel free to email me anytime at clewis@century21award.com and I would be honored to help you. If you have real estate needs now before my return Sept. 10th...please reach out to Curt (619)261-4023 or Roni (619) 677-9393 and they will take EXCELLENT care of you. My passion in life is to save Africa's wildlife and I will do what it takes to keep our Nsefu Wildlife team doing just that and I get to do something I love! Thanks friends!
