Traveling Conservation Team

One of Nsefu Wildlife's most important programs is the Traveling Conservation Team we deploy every day throughout the Nsefu Sector. We have full-time conservation education coordinators that visit schools and villages throughout the sector. Kids and villagers learn about how critically important wildlife is to the region, especially to the tourism industry, and how it SUPPORTS the livelihoods of countless people in the area.

People young and old are learning about how damaging poaching, illegal hunting and fishing etc. are in the region. We are also teaching the community about how catastrophic it is to do illegal burning. This is a traditional activity and we are teaching Zambians to think differently about this tradition. The impact is horrific, and we are showing people a new way to look at their old customs.
