New desks arrive at Chabwera School!

If you want to see what your Nsefu Wildlife donations are doing, take a look!

Students celebrate the arrival of 25 new desks for the Chabwera School!

Attendance has quadrupled since we built it in 2017! We desperately needed desks so kids could work and learn about conservation!

Teacher Brighton JR Mwanza sent us this wonderful video of joy! Thank you to our supporters! You are changing lives!

New desks with students in class!

Greetings from Chabwera Primary School.

On behalf of the school and indeed on my own behalf, I would love to extend our gratitude to you and the entire body for assisting with 25 new desks. The gesture has greatly motivated learners as now, they have where to sit while in school.

Thank you and may the good lord continue to bless.

Headteacher.

Nsefu Team Prepping Cargo Container for Shipping to Zambia!

Getting ready to ship donated items to Zambia.

Thank you to everyone who showed up to make the final move of furniture donations into the Nsefu Wildlife container! We have a couple of weeks before it heads off to Zambia and we have a few more things to jam into every square inch of that container.

We’d also like to thank everyone who donated much needed and appreciated items for our programs in Africa saving wildlife and helping lives.

If you’d like to donate items or just make a donation to help pay for the shipping of the container to Zambia, please contact Coe Lewis at Coe@nsefu.org or give her a call at 619.334.8084.

More Flooding in Nsefu Sector!

The rainy season is here!

WhatsApp+Image+2021-02-03+at+11.08.46+%281%29.jpg

Recently, the Nsefu Sector was hit by flooding. The locals attempt to travel along Chief Nsefu's road, but have to find their way through or around the flood waters.

The Luangwa River is one of the major tributaries of the Zambezi River, and one of the four biggest rivers of Zambia. The river generally floods in the rainy season (December to March) and then falls considerably in the dry season. It is one of the biggest unaltered rivers in Southern Africa and the 52,000 square kilometres (20,000 sq mi) that make up the surrounding valley are home to abundant wildlife.

Opening Day at Chabwera Community School

Help support Chabwera School

Schools opened on the 1st of February, 2021. But Chabwera Community School has some challenges of not having enough desks, chairs and tables.

The enrollment for the school has increased to 227 including the addition of now teaching grade 7. Teachers don't have a proper place to sit and teach from, as pupils are occupying the desks.

Nsefu Wildlife needs your help. We're asking for donations to help us purchase 25 desks for the pupils along with 10 additional chairs and tables for the teachers.

If you have access to used office furniture and are will to donate, please email Coe at Coe@Nsefuwildlife.com or Victory at Victory@Nsefuwildlife.com.
