Rangers get their new Patrol Boat!
Check out the photos of our new Patrol boat.
Nsefu Wildlife Rangers recently got a new patrol boat, made possible by your generous donations, and were trying it out by crossing the Luangwa River. While the boat is an important tool for our Rangers, they still have to go on foot to catch the poachers.
And while on patrol, our Rangers found an Elephant that had died recently, and still had his tusks on him. There was no sign of foul play, but the rangers took the tusks to keep them out of poacher hands.
Sewing Building construction and Student Desks for New School!
Check out the good work going on in Zambia.
Here are some photos of our sewing building being worked on, awaiting the furniture and equipment (sewing tables, chairs and sewing machines). The truck photo shows the new desks being delivered to the New School
You're donations are making all of this possible, thank you from team Nsefu. Please consider donating to Nsefu.org by clicking HERE!
Ranger Report - December 2017
Our Rangers work year round to stop poaching!
Hi all,
As the year 2017 comes to the end, I hope you are fine.
We are going into the rainy season. We made a plan to combat poaching during this time of impassibly bad muddy roads. We came up with the idea of “flying” anti- poaching camps, scouts are hiking and camping for twenty (20) days at a time in the bush before we deploy another team.
Recently, our scouts impounded two guns, impala meat, fifteen (15) snares and two pairs of ivory tusks. One person was arrested. The items were recovered in the Game Management Area near the Mwangazi River and in Kazungula. We worked hand in hand with another team of rangers in Kazungula.
l would like to thank you for the support you rendered during 2017.
Happy New Year!
Stay Blessed,
Silomba Charles
