We wanted to "strike" while the iron was hot with regards to the global ramifications of COVID 19 and it's link with Wildlife Markets in Asia and around the world. The global campaign that Nsefu Wildlife is associated with is #EndWildlifeMarket #EndCovid. Our antipoaching work is tied VERY closely with Wildlife Markets in Asia and around the world in that we fight the very poachers who feed the black market demand with many of the animals in our sector we protect.

These animals or their body parts are illegally TRAFFICKED to Asia and around the world. Pangolins, leopards, lions, cheetahs, gorillas, chimpanzees, elephants, rhinos, and more are all victims of this vicious trade. They are alive or dead in these death markets. By shutting down Wildlife Markets we are shutting down COVID 19 and other potential pandemics that can arise from these totally unsanitary facilities that house both live and dead animals. Furthermore, by shutting down Wildlife markets, we are shutting down the most abhorrent facilities for millions upon millions of animals. Absolutely no regard is given any living creature. Animals are stolen from the wild and are crammed into filthy cages, infected, sick and dying and they are exposed to other species living under intense duress.

The cross-contamination is unavoidable. Live animals are butchered on site with no regard to sanitation. This is a recipe for disaster, and we are seeing just what kind of wrath Mother Nature can unleash. Even if viruses or diseases escape facilities, their existence near these markets which cover Asia allows the spread to be fast and far-reaching. Research is showing that COVID 19 originated with bats and the virus is carried by the most likely host, the pangolin...which is THE most trafficked animal in the world with 1 dying every 5 minutes. You can help our anti-poaching work directly by taking action to SHUT DOWN WET MARKETS.  If you want to end poaching, we need to END WILDLIFE MARKETS.
